Samantha Mack Reunites with GWAR at Beyond the Streets Grand Opening in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA — September 2025 — Actress, host, and longtime GWAR supporter Samantha Mack made a triumphant return to the GWAR universe this past weekend at the Beyond the Streets exhibition opening in Los Angeles: Let There Be GWAR, a monumental retrospective celebrating the band’s four decades of intergalactic chaos.

Mack, who previously hosted GWAR’s infamous “GWARBQ” festivals in Richmond, Virginia, reunited with the band and loyal fans after nearly nine years. “It felt like no time had passed at all,” said Mack, who was overwhelmed by the warmth of the fan community. To her surprise, many attendees not only remembered her but lined up for autographs, proving the enduring bond between GWAR and its devoted followers.

One of the weekend’s most iconic moments came when legendary fan @pigpen_bloodshed brought out his prosthetic leg — the same leg that went viral years ago when it was lost during a GWAR concert crowd-surfing mishap, as reported by TMZ. The band famously halted their performance to help recover it. Today, that prosthetic leg stands as a piece of GWAR history, featuring every band member’s autograph encircling an image of the late Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie). This weekend, Samantha Mack’s signature joined that legacy artifact.

“The energy of GWAR fans is unmatched. Being back with everyone, seeing familiar faces, and being reminded of those wild Richmond days — it’s like stepping into a time machine,” Mack shared.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see her again. Samantha Mack will next join GWAR in Anaheim for their upcoming House of Blues show in October, continuing her tradition of supporting the band and celebrating their one-of-a-kind world of spectacle, satire, and heavy metal theater.
