🎬✨ Hollywood Confidential Screening Series Presents: BLACK MEN DON’T CHEAT! ✨🎬
On Thursday, August 28th, Samantha Mack stepped out to support her friend and collaborator, filmmaker and actor Michael Arcell, at the special screening of his bold new comedy series, Black Men Don’t Cheat. Fresh off its big win at the 2025 ESSENCE Festival, the pilot drew a packed house for an evening of film, conversation, and celebration at the Hollywood Confidential Screening Series.
Samantha, who worked alongside Arcell last year on the Christmas movie STANDBY filmed in Los Angeles, was especially thrilled to cheer him on in this new chapter. Through long shoot days and plenty of on-set laughs, the two became fast friends — so seeing him command the screen as three unforgettable characters (Chad, his impulsive alter ego Meat, and his conscience Dudley) was both a proud and surreal moment.
From the very first scene, the audience was locked in. The show blends satire, vulnerability, and cultural commentary into something hilariously sharp yet deeply resonant. By the end, Samantha and the crowd were literally gripping their seats — the final twist had everyone begging to know what comes next for these characters.
Adding to the magic, the pilot also showcased powerhouse performances from Brittney Ayona Clemons (Rap Sh!t, Insecure, Caught Up) and Yasmine Alfakey (Subversion), whose presence lit up the screen and left no doubt that they are stars on the rise.
Following the screening, Samantha joined the cast, crew, and attendees for a lively Q&A and reception, where the conversation buzzed with excitement about the show’s fearless take on modern relationships, faith, and Black masculinity. Industry insiders from Netflix, UTA, MACRO, and HartBeat Productions were all ears, underscoring just how much momentum this pilot is building.
For Samantha, the night was more than just a screening — it was a chance to witness a friend’s vision come to life, to celebrate a story that’s both entertaining and necessary, and to stand with a community of artists pushing culture forward.
💬 As she put it after the event: “From beginning to end, the show was hilariously relatable — and that ending? I NEED to know what happens next!”
The verdict? Black Men Don’t Cheat isn’t just a show — it’s an experience. And if the energy in that room was any sign, this is only the beginning.
